Hanover seems like a pretty safe town. I believe the tour guide said the nearest hospital is 2 miles away - the Dartmouth Medical Center.

I felt save walking the campus at all hours of the day. Dartmouth is fairly isolated so there is no big city near it that you have to worry about.

Very small town and safety was not one of the issues brought up by the tour guide.
