Campus Visit Notes for DePaul University:
Visit Description:
My visit here was one of those perfect fit Kodak moments. While I can't say it has been all sunshine and lollipops sense I really do love this school. It has done a lot for me. I honestly find it hard to leave in the summer.
I looked at and/or applied to over 13 schools,
this one won
Really says something
Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:
If you student is coming alone I'd recommend staying with another student. You can't get a true feel of any school if you child is afraid to ask questions that they feel might offend you.
Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:
Clarkes - diner food
Lincoln station- bar/ restaurant
Lou Malnatis-chicago pizza
Brankos- chicago style hot dog, super cheap
Savor the flavor- ice cream and coffee, free wifi
uncle sammies- sand
Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
No need for a car
parking is crazy
you can get a vocher sometimes for parking, but once you park there is no where in the city to park on the cheap. The el is 2 dollars a trip, a day pass is 5 dolla
