Campus Visit Notes for Duke University:
Visit Description: The tour and information session are a bit overwhelming. The information session stresses the selectivity of admissions, and the tour is a whirlwind of library, chapel, quads, and main teaching facilities. After the tour, students are allowed to wander the campus, which gave a more favorable impression. Professors in the biology department were eager to talk to a prospective student, and students were (usually) willing to answer questions. Overall, the impression was one of busy activity- busy learning, working, and having fun.
