Visit Activities:


Admissions Interview: Yes - Audition, not interview. Received audition details via email to student about one week prior to audition date. Timing was pretty accurate. Parents do not go to class observation, only to a short info

Information Session: Yes - Specific to the program student auditioned for. Student panel to anwer Qs about program. Ended with current student talent number.

Campus Tour: Yes - Fit in regular campus tour. Absolutely DELIGHTFUL tour guide. Lots of fun campus facts and traditions as well as some personal stories.

Bumped into tour guide several times, she acknowledged us and was very friendly, as were students in the panel during the info session, when saw them later on campus, as well as students in the hallwa

Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:

Did not see anytahing that caught my eye as negative. If you end up in a suite, you ahve to clean the bathroom yourself.


Dormitories:

Saw standard dorm rooms. Typical. Cool that they have a program where you can buy a carpet piece for the floor from Habitat for Humanity. I presume it is a fund raiser. Nice large window in the each r


Security/Safety:

You could err on the side of overly content here and lower your safety shield. Sure feels safe, but all campuses have some basic safety rules the student should be wary of. They have typical blue boxe

Campus Visit Notes for Elon University


Visit Description:

Flew into Greenboro. Parking lot looks like a field with parked cars on it. RURAL feel. School about 20 min away. Drove on campus at night and it is So well lit at night to impress, and it did! Fri night and it was nice to see students about. Best scene was the soccar fields lit for night intermural team play. Town asleep by 10 PM. Hard to find something open for dinner after 9. Awesome tour guide brought tears to my eyes as a mom when she told us about having her appendix out as a frosh and how the staff and faculty were literally there for her at hospital, at health center, and tucked her in when they brought her home. Did follow up calls as well as calls with her family throughout. Worst night of my entire life was the one night I had to stay overnight in my college health center, so I could appreciate that. One building left from fire in 23 or 24. Tour guide says it is haunted, It is the all girl dorm now.

Stayed at Marriott nearby.

Ate at a grill closest to campus.A ll staff were students. Very friendly.
