This is a tough one: there have been several sexual assaults and robberies on campus and students are upset. At least for the former it may be one culprit, but for now it's a bit disturbing. [View Full Report] |

Blue lights, night-time escort service, you have to check in at the dorms, etc. As long as you don't make irresponsible choices, it's very safe. [View Full Report] |

A pretty open campus. There are numerous security guards, the dorms are protected, and the surrounding town is safe. That said, I felt as secure as I'd care to be. [View Full Report] |

It's DC; they do their best and Georgetown by far is in the safest part of the city. [View Full Report] |

Georgetown is to Washington D.C. what Westwood or Beverly Hills is to Los Angeles, CA. It's basically the richest part of town, and that's reflected in the safety of the surrounding area. [View Full Report] |

Felt very comfortable on and surrounding campus. DC isn't the safest but around Georgetown is very upscale so it's not too bad. [View Full Report] |

Since the campus was fairly deserted except for guides and prospective parents/students, I didn't get a sense of this. [View Full Report] |

I saw several blue-light phones on campus; also, I think the campus gates are closed at night (not that the area around Georgetown is nasty or anything. On the contrary, it's rather nice). [View Full Report] |

No issues whatsoever - seemed extremely safe, though many (other) parts of D.C are not. Dorm security is tight - swipe a card to get in the building, another swipe inside, and register all guests. [View Full Report] |

They have the same system as most schools. They also have a escort service but I am not sure if this is actually used much. [View Full Report] |

Gtown in general exudes security. I was in DC for 7 days and every night I walked around the campus and the surrounding area as late as 1am feeling completely fine. Many students walked around too. [View Full Report] |

DC has a bad reputation for its crime rate but Georgetown's surrounding area (Wisconsin and M) is really safe. There's a lot of high end shopping to do there and the campus is in its own bub [View Full Report] |

Blue lights EVERYWHERE and in the middle of the one of the most political neighborhoods anywhere. You have John Kerry and Madeline Albright for neighbors. I never felt unsafe. Use commonsense though. [View Full Report] |

I never felt unsafe on campus, but I almost never saw security guards at night, though they're all over during the day. However, while I was there, two people were stabbed a few streets down. [View Full Report] |

For an urban campus, I felt safe. The only "openess" is the border with the Georgetown neighborhood, which was nice. [View Full Report] |
