Information Session:
Yes - The session is very similar to that of several other Ivies, with the officer using the old "get an A in the AP class" joke in an effort to emphasize the importance of doing well in hard cour Campus Tour:
Yes - We toured on a beautiful April afternoon, and naturally with such a bright, sunny day, the tour took on a life of its own. The tour was more of a history tour of Harvard, not entirely useful.
Harvard University Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students: 4 - Very Good -
Since it was a visiting weekend, the students were more outgoing then usual, probably, but it was still a pleasant experience.
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff: 4 - Very Good -
The staff really try and sell you on the "unique" traits of Harvard, and go to great lengths to convince you.
Appearance of Campus: 4 - Very Good -
Sunny, bright day, but could be a bit better for the freshmen campus (now Duke, there's perfection)
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 4 - Very Good -
The facades and rich history of each building is interesting, to a certain extent, and in general, the place was spiffy.
Dormitories: 3 - Good -
A little on the small side, but you get used to it. Most share bathrooms but six person suites have private ones.
Security/Safety: 4 - Very Good -
I'm still alive.
Overall Campus Impression: 4 - Very Good -
Just a nice experience overall, with some minor areas that could be improved for perfection.

Area Immediately Around Campus: 5 - Excellent -
Such a vibrant, eclectic community, what more could you ask for? Cambridge is the nation's college town.

Visit Description:
Harvard tries its darndest to break the mold and create an environment which nurtures its freshmen. Of course, the real excitement also lies outside the campus in Cambridge, and overall, it's just a good place for four years of fun and study.
