Each time you walk around campus you are bound to see countless campus security personnel and I think that is something to be said. The main part of Harvard is gated but only has a couple of openings.

It seems like a really safe place to me. Like many colleges, Harvard has the blue light system.

I saw a few security guards patrolling, but there didn't seem to be a need for them. It seemed safe to me.

A very busy place, but I don't see crime happening there much, not on campus at least, perhaps in Cambridge proper though.
