Admissions Interview: No - Was already accepted.

Information Session: No - Part of Red Carpet Day. Representative from admissions, a student, and a professor. Very enthusiastic and fairly informative. Could have left more time for Q&A but there were other meetings.

Campus Tour: No - They broke us up into groups. It was a cold, gray day but the campus still looked beautiful. Tulips were in bloom. It is exceptionally well groomed for such a large campus. We went to five locations.

Campus Visit Notes for Indiana University Bloomington

Visit Description:

We made appts with faculty/advisors in his areas of interest (most likely will double major). This was really great because they gave our son advice on first year course selections and talked at length about their departments strengths/weaknesses. The language dept is particularly amazing. Even though the weather was dreary, the campus was filled with bicycles and kids hanging out. It is large, but it seems like there are many ways to make it smaller. The visit sold all three of us, with my husband and I wishing we could enroll as well!

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Hampton Inn was very nice.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

We grabbed lunch at Pita Pit and The Chipolte Grill and both were very nice. Dinner was at a funky place called Cheeseburger Paradise (or something like that) and it was okay.
