Visit Activities:

Admissions Interview: No - I think you only get one when youre accepted, and by that time I kind of already wrote of hopkins.

Campus:

Friendliness/Courtesy of Students:

Well i love my friend, and her friends in her hall all seem very open and amiable.

Appearance of Campus:
4 - Very Good

I like uniformity, and I feel like the majority of hopkins buildings have the same brick-y look. It wasnt messy or dirty or anything.

Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:

I didnt see any icky stuff, so it must have been pretty clean

Dormitories:

I like their dorms very much. By your sophomore year, you can get modern apartment-like dorms and even pick who gets the room next to yours, or your floor, or whatever, and freshman dorms are roomy

Security/Safety:
4 - Very Good

There's always the off-chance that you might get mugged if you wander too far too late at night, but security is AMAZING and if you dont act like an idiot im sure youll be fine

Overall Campus Impression:

I would have been happy there, i think.

Off-Campus:

Area Immediately Around Campus:

It isnt the prettiest place in the world, but its not the baltimore ghettos either.

theres a lot of fun places in baltimore if you look for them, and i think jhu will tell you at orientation where not to go.

Campus Visit Notes for Johns Hopkins University

Visit Description:

I visited the AMR dorm rooms, and little else. The security ppl there are super strict, and you need your card to get in the complex, the building, and a key for your room. But the bathrooms are clean, the people are nice, and the rooms are big.
The surrounding area can be a bit boring on first glance, but theres lots of nice places to eat and hang out after you get a bit acquainted with the area.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

One World has nice food.
