Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - Sort of uptight. Almost boring. She talked a lot about all the different programs available within the uni which I could have just looked up online. Didn't talk much about what made Lehigh unique

Campus Tour: Yes - Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the campus. They actually let us choose tour guides by our interests and prospective colleges and what not which was nice.

Overall Campus Impression:

The campus had a very college-like atmosphere. The buildings themselves are beautiful. Compared to the small LACs I've been to, it felt a bit impersonal, but Lehigh had lots more academic offerin

Bethlehem is a really nice little town. Lots of restaurants and little shops within walking distance.

Once again, Bethlehem is very quaint and nice to just walk around in. 1 hour from NYC and Philly.

Campus Visit Notes for Lehigh University

Visit Description:

Since I've been looking more into LACs, Lehigh was a bit bigger and I def. felt the grad presence on campus. The classes also seemed a bit larger. But thats to be expected at any major university. There is a pretty big greek life on campus.

They have very very nice theatre/performing center zoellner (spelling?) which seemed pretty new. It's not owned by the uni, so they have a lot of performers and such open to the community. They had the NYPhil and the Boston Pops there.

The library was also one of the best I've been to. It's set up very nice and was apparently just renovated.

They have a real big engineering program (1/3 of all undergrad majors) which sort of turned me off.

Compared to Swarthmore (my current fav.) they really stressed the admissions process. It sort of felt impersonal and too big. Also worried that there will be less interaction with the professors. But the school definitely had a very college-like feel that Swarthmore didn't.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Stayed at Comfort Suites. Was very nice. Breakfast was good too.
