I was disappointed. It all felt very compact, and there was not enough room for a lot of beauty to shine through. It wasn't terrible for an urban campus, though.

Macalester is well kept. However, it does not have breathtaking architecture (like UChicago or Princeton) or elegant plantlife (like Swarthmore or Haverford).

The campus is absolutely gorgeous. The location only amplifies this tenfold.
