Campus Visit Notes for Marist College:
Visit Description: While the campus was lovely and the school seems to have a lot going for it, it does not appear to have much going on off campus and we were told that it gets very cold and windy in the winter due to the nearby mountains and the way the campus is situated. We were impressed with the cleanliness and care of which the campus gets.

We tried to get a room at the Mohonk Mountain House which we heard is a beautiful place to stay, but it was all booked up.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments: There are not that many choices of places to stay nearby. We ended up at a motel nearby.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments: There are some nice restaurants in the town of New Paltz. We ate breakfast at this great place where the food was exceptional.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.): I would imagine kids would need a car here to do anything off campus.
