Small town Cambridge, though a look through the Tech(school newspaper) revealed many small crimes in a month, ie. Car break-ins for the GPS and many, many trespassing |

I felt very safe on campus despite the fact it is extremely close to Boston. I don't know how safe Boston is itself, but as I mentioned before I felt safe even walking alone at night across MIT c |

The MIT campus police is very diligent! The patrol cars are easily seen at night. |
