College transitions nicely into the surrounding areas. Students from urban areas with an open mind will appreciate the rural setting. For others, it might take a bit getting used to.

Streets with traffic cut through campus. Train tracks cut corner. But area is mostly nice, with historical homes and green areas. Off-campus housing looks iffy.

It is a college town, not much to see, not much to do.

University is surrounded by residential areas on 3 sides and and High Street (main drag of the town of Oxford) is on the other. Some rather dicey-looking rental housing next to campus but otherwise the area is charming.
