Campus Tour: No - NYU doesn't really have a campus, but we walked around the Tisch facilities. If you are going to film school for the equipment, go to Chapman or USC, not NYU or UCLA, but they have all the key s

Everyone was friendly, I just didnt click with the students. The guys are quirky, and Greenwich Village is known for lots of gay men. I have no problem with gay men, I just didnt feel that I fit in.

Campus Visit Notes for New York University

Visit Description:

I'll be brief. I love film. When selecting schools my criteria pretty much boiled down to the school not being in hick-town, and having a strong film program. When I was accepted to Tisch, I was thrilled. When I visited, I realized I wasnt really a city person (and at NYU its all about the city, there isnt really school spirit, there is city spirit), the cost wasnt worth it (despite the scholarships) and I didnt click with the people. Also, I decided that I didnt want to limit myslef to film, I also love music and graphic design, it turns out that a "design" major may be a more apt fit for my passions. I plan to attend UCLA next year, half the cost and twice the potential.
