Visit Activities:
Information Session:
Yes - I attended an information session/open house for the College of Arts and Sciences. They discussed the basic core classes that an incoming freshman would take and what a freshman should expect.
Campus Tour:
Yes - The campus is not a "traditional" campus. Most of the buildings surround Washington Square park and I felt as though the park made it feel like a campus environment.
Classroom Visit:
Yes - I sat in on a class for Stern. It was amazing and happened to be one of the subjects that I am particulary interested in (Business Law and Society.)
Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students:
5 - Excellent
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:
4 - Very Good
The woman at the Welcome Center spoke to me as if I was completely stupid just because I did not know where the classroom was.
Appearance of Campus:
4 - Very Good
(lack of campus..) but if you love the city atmosphere then it's perfect for you.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
4 - Very Good
Dormitories:
5 - Excellent
They had very impressive residence halls. Each room has their own bathroom.
Security/Safety:
5 - Excellent
They have so many programs for NYU students that need to get home from their late night class so safety is a big plus.
Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus:
5 - Excellent
NYC is full of opportunities.
