Students said that they felt very safe, and I couldn't imagine many crimes going down in a small town in Ohio.

Never felt unsafe. Campus is well-lit at night and there's a group of students that you can call for rides if you don't feel safe.

Although there have been a few recent incidents of friction between students and younger townsfolk, I never felt unsafe anywhere or at any time on campus or in the "Downtown Oberlin" area.

Walked through campus at night, including Tappan Square and felt totally safe.

Hard to judge but were told on tour that chapel was locked because of concerns about keeping the organ safe.
