Quintessential small college town feel. Bookstore is across the town green from the main part of campus, on a street with restaurants, shops, etc.

I didn't poke around much, but the small town looked charming and adequate for the average college student's needs. There seemed to be plenty of cute, cheap places to eat.

Quick access to downtown - small town, but there are lots of stores & restaurants & you could probably find what you needed. Seemed student- and bike-friendly.

"Downtown Oberlin" has a Keilloresque assortment of local businesses where, "if you can't find it, you can probably do without it." There is a standard-issue mall in Elyria,

Tappan Square is a lovely space, right next to campus; the residential areas around campus have a New Englandy feel.
