Campus Visit Notes for Penn State University Park

Visit Description:

"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiam"
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

DON'T PANIC!!
I'm orginally from New Jersey, so travelling five hours to a complete different place made me uneasy about my decision. Questions like: "What if my car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and Leather Face from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre decides that I'd make great victim?" and "What if a deer thinks it would be funny to jump in front of my car and watch me run off the cliff like a lemming?" All of that went away once I stood right in front of the university's entrance. It's so big and it made me feel like an ant; which is a good thing for me. It was the size of a city. I couldn't take my eyes off the scenery. This was the right college for me.

YOUR LEGS WILL GET TIRED!!
The library was enormous and it made me cry a little [haha not really]. Many of the passing students were friendly enough to smile and say hi. Surprisingly the cafeteria food was very good. The lemonade was tasty! The dorm we visited was clean, yet not as big as I expected. Ohh yeah there tons of stairs [good for excercising].

THE STUDENTS HAVE TAKEN OVER STATE COLLEGE
When walking through the town, there were students everywhere. It was a relieving feeling. Little coffee shops and fast food restaurants all around [great nourishment!]. It was very comfortable.

I SWEAR THIS IS THE END OF THIS VERY LONG SUMMARY
Leaving was the saddest part. Til August my dear friend!

-OVER AND OUT-

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

There are tons of places to eat out there. McDonalds is a favorite!

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Mostly everything was within walking distance. Hooray for saving gas!! Ohh and there are bus lines for those who live off campus.
