Visit Activities:
Campus Tour:
Yes - Very informative and intersting. He gave lot's of details of how Princton fit in with the history of America. Like how it was a key point in the American Revolution and how they used the campus in the making of "A Beautiful Mind".
Princeton University Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students: 5 - Excellent -
Very nice and friendly.
Appearance of Campus: 4 - Very Good -
Very beautiful and ancient looking. Especially liked the chapel and the library. There was a wedding on campus so it seemed all festive.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 4 - Very Good -
This part was so funny. Our tour guide was talking about all the buildings as we passed them. He talked about how one of the buildings was made by the creator of Mt. Rushmore.
Security/Safety: 4 - Very Good -
I liked the idea of the blue light system, where if you're ever being chased there's a phone by every blue light. You can see another blue light from your current blue light.
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus: 3 - Good -
Very rural. I couldnt find the campus because the roads around the campus were kind of confusing.
Campus Visit Notes for Princeton University:
Visit Description:
Overall, the campus was very beautiful and the tour guide was really interesting and informative. Make sure you ask about the history of Princeton and how it plays into american history because it really is informative.
He also talked about how one of the buildings was made out from a Yale grad. Then he says, "that's okay, because thats where yale belongs, in the gutter" :-)
They seem to have a friendly rivalry between the ivies because he mentioned how all the ivies like to share books, EXECPT Harvard.
Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
Princeton is also very connected between New England. i.e apparently, it's like 1 hour from new york and stuff (on campus train station)
