There were a lot of nice bike trails and it was very pretty. However, right off the campus is a residential area, and there's not much to do.

It's not too great. It's in a housing neighborhood kind of area, and beyond that are some places to eat. There are better areas of the city, that's certain.

I come from NYC so everything sucks in comparison.

I didn't care for the area around campus at all. Residential and not the greatest part of Portland.
