Campus Visit Notes for Rice University:
Visit Description:
Rice is a community, above all else. The Residential College system is spectacular. Kids with completely different majors, extroversion levels, drinking habits, races, and everything else get along and are friends. The integration is spectacular and there is never a dull moment.
Campus is alive with such interesting activities as the Beer Debates, food fights, water fights, and Beer Bike. Everyone is amazingly friendly and enjoys staying up late just to hang out and go out for a snack at 1AM. It was the week after easter so we found a bunch of peeps and had a peep eating contest.
The only negative about my entire experience was that the dorm food is horrid.
Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
Don't go to the Houston space tour, it sucks. A lot.
