Information Session:
Yes - Power point presentation followed by a question and answer session. Good.
Campus Tour:
Yes - Excellent. Two tour guides combined the groups and just had fun giving the tour. Played off each other quite well and as a result no quiet awkward lapses.

Two tour guides combined groups and made the tour fun. The guides constantly spoke to others randomly passed on the campus; everyone seemed to know the two guides (in a good way).

The ongoing construction somewhat mars the campus right now.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:

Beautiful buildings. Excellent cleanliness.

Okay. Seemed dated.
Security/Safety:

Hard to determine really. However, hs daughter took a (daytime) summer class at Rice; it was suggested she walk with others due to ongoing construction and difficulty monitoring access to campus.

The Rice Village area (older homes, shops, restaurants) - great! Medical center across street - busy.

Visit Description:
Fairly generic visit except for the outstanding tour guides. Plan another visit to confirm a positive first impression and will report again.
