I'm not that big of a fan of residence halls, or maybe just not mine. The bathroom seemed very exposed to the rest of the dorm room, and I was a bit uncomfortable with that. Plus I like change. |

No where else have I seen students want to stay on campus four years. They love the community and the dorms. The one I stayed in was a Suite (four people = two bedrooms, a common room and a bathroom) |

They weren't anything great, but they were better than the dormitories I saw at other universities in Texas. |

The rooms I saw in Sid Richardson looked pretty standard, but rest of the building is unique. Just go and find out for yourself. Also, one dorm has a trampoline, another a great fountain. |

The same architecture that blesses the schools, define the residential colleges. They students are very attached to their colleges, which they are assigned and guaranteed to live in for 3 years. |

They're very spacious. Standard two bed, two desk, shared bathroom with one other double. Adequate space, and not "box" like. |

There are a variety of dorm set-ups you can get, but the one we saw was decent sized and fairly private. |

Love the college system. Dorm quality varies by college... but even the "worst" ones seemed pretty darn good! Some even have their own private bathroom! |

GOOD ones are the new ones.
BAD ones are just normal older dorm rooms which o not have the amenities of today. Never will be comparable to the Harvard Yard or Yale dorms for freshmaen, but then again who is. |

The dorms at Rice vary. I visited Hanzen, one of the older dormitories, and it seemed to be clean and in good repair. The newer dorms looked amazing, although I did not see the inside of these. |
