Yes - Fairly typical, about an hour long...
Basicaly wanted to know if you were a good match for Smith.
Evaluative, but not scary.

Yes - About 5 families, sitting around a conference table. Lots of time for questions/discussion. Campus Tour:

Summer construction, which is a good thing in the long term, but short term made the campus look a bit sloppy.

All 4 years share the same house, creates a close communtity feel.

Campus Visit Notes for Smith College:
Visit Description:
I was very impressed by my visit.
It seems to me that Smith is either the right type of place for you, or it is not. There is very little middle ground.
If you are at all interested, I strongly suggest visiting (while class is in session preferably).
Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:
We stayed at a Hampton Inn right outside of Northampton. Highly reccomend.
Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
I was suprised that there is no train/ public transit to Boston.
