Campus Visit Notes for Stanford University

Visit Description:

There were 3 students total in our tour/info session. Our tour guide was upbeat and positive about her experience there. My daughter loved the many options available for study (something like 20 languages) and devoured the brochure at dinner and breakfast the next day. She loved the terrain (we live in Texas) and felt the students/faculty don't take themselves too seriously. I made her go on the tour - she wants a smaller school but we were in the neighborhood so to speak - and she was pleasantly surprised on so many counts.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

We stayed at Stanford House based on a recommendation by another CC member. Excellent choice - quiet, clean comfortable room.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

We ate at ASAP California Pizza, a fast version of CPK - we love their food and loved their speed even better.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

We rented a car at the San Jose airport but took the free Stanford shuttle to/from the campus. Very convenient.
