Campus Visit Notes for Tufts University

Visit Description:

Arrived via the T and then a bus to the foot of the campus steps...The info session was packed and the guy giving it was a hoot--He gave poignant and frank insight to the kids about admissions processes...and the Dean of the Engineering Dept was there--and siad they work to help student athletes etc..
BUT
the kid who gave the tour
----first looked like he rolled out of bed in dirty clothes..He complained about
- the housing dept screwed up the dorm lottery days
- the printing allowance isnt big enough
- the engineering dept doesn't have enough lisences for students to use the software at the same time
- the librarey is where everyone socializes so he doesn't study there
on and on, and on
more than half the families dropped out before the end...
Including us because our son was like ..so WHY would I want to go here?

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

use the T so your student learns to get around
