Information Session: Yes - General and academic information session for student and family.

Campus Tour: Yes - Son attended a spend a day event at the academy where he shadowed a plebe for about 5 hours. Parents were given a walking tour of the campus.

Classroom Visit: Yes - Son shadowed plebes through 2 or 3 classes.

Campus Visit Notes for United States Merchant Marine Academy


Visit Description:

This visit allowed our son to make his decision RE attending KP or taking a ROTC Scholarship at the University of Texas. The staff made us all feel welcome and made our son feel like they truely wanted him to attend the academy.
