The students are absolutely open and extremely friendly to approach. I know a couple of students there myself, and thier friends are always enthusiastic about meeting new people. They're definitely good people to be around

Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:

The staff is really inviting, but the reason that I would dial down thier services a notch is because of the sheer numbers of students that attend and the limited capacity to be able to help every single one of them. However, they do manage as best they c

The architecture within the school is beautifully modern, while at the same time retaining some gothic and greecian influences. The only downside is that the city of berkeley is located right next to downtown oakland, and some of the impoverished influenc

For all of them that i've visited, the dorms are relatively nice. The newer facilities, unit 2, i believe, are nice-but not as impressive as the outlying foothill and bowman hall dorms.

Campus Visit Notes for University of California-Berkeley

Visit Description:

I really love this campus-it's lively, full of people, and always active. Although there are many areas that are a little sleepy in terms of quietness and activity, those are reserved for students studying and it provides a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely a place to be if you're into the urban/social college scene-definitely a place to be if you're into a place that has every interest you could possibly imagine.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

I would stay in the dorms-i dont really trust the outlying apartments that much.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

two words: La burrita.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

everywhere is an attraction
