University of California - Berkeley - Comments on Security/Safety

April 23 2008	rubybrett	Blue light system in place; however, did see a few crazy preacher types around the campus.
March 14 2008	thatgirltoo	I felt very safe during the day. They have a security system in place, such as a "campus buddy" who will walk with lone students by request, shuttles to areas around campus, etc.
June 22 2007	diamondprynzez	The nice features of the campus, ie the trees make for a less safe campus. Not comfortable to walk around when it gets dark and there are not a lot of people. There are security services, though.
August 14 2006	NishtDawg	in the morning, a lot of the people around the Berkeley streets looked pretty sketch- tons of hippies, homeless (one homeless lady even latched on to our tour group, eek) but on campus, i felt pretty safe
August 09 2006	zemookmook	again, berkeley is not a place you want to be walking around alone at night with, but there's a whole lot of cops driving around
