There are a ton of places to eat and lots of places to shop. If you're one for diversity, Berkeley is the place for you.

In the morning, it was pretty sketchy...but towards lunch time, the adjacent streets became very active- people selling tie dye and jewelry on the streets- more normal people walking around instead of hippies and the homeless. i ate at a Indian restauran
