Campus Tour: No - i went on a field trip to tour the school. a student gave the tour, he was really nice and explained a lot about the campus and stressed the feeling of community.

everyone is so nice at ucd! my mom and i were looking for this place to get coffee but were lost with all the lunch commotion, but this really nice sophomore girl offered to show us and walk us there.

VERY nice staff. anytime my mom and i were lost, we just popped into any building and the staff or professors would give us directions lol.

GORGEOUS campus. i love all the trees. its so shady and comfortable looking, i just honestly loved it to death. people always complain about a cow smell but i didnt smell cows once... so yeah.

it was very clean, some buildings looked a bit old but it wasn't anything bad.

i only saw the outside of the dorms but they looked good. i was expecting segundo to look waaay worse than it actually looked.

it seemed fairly safe. my tour guide was telling us about how they have BUI's (biking under the influence) at davis which my mom liked a lot haha.

fantastic. it really is a nice school. nice people, nice campus, nice buildings, nice programs.

im actually from sacramento so im used to this area. so people from the bay area that are used to the city night life, may not like it. but sac is like 3 exits down on i-80 so its good stuff.

i love the city of davis. it has such a strong feeling of community and people are so friendly.

Campus Visit Notes for University of California, Davis

Visit Description:

overall i loved the campus. i wasnt concidering even going to davis because im from sacramento and i thought it would be awkwardly close to home. however once i saw the campus i really fell in love with it. i cant describe it any other way than saying its extremely comfortable. you can do your own thing and nobody cares, everyone is just so accepting and friendly. plus the campus is beautiful, like i could picture myself reading a book or doing homework under one of the billion trees they have. not only did i feel safe but i could feel the sense of "community" davis boasts. its good stuff, anyone in the area should definitely visit even if they aren't concidering davis.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

im from sacramento so theres loads of lodging, its about 20 mins from davis. its pretty cheap too.
