Campus Visit Notes for University of Central Florida

Visit Description:

UCF has a lot going for it. Even though it is one of the country's largest universities now- it doesn't feel huge of crowded. I think it is the wonderful campus design and the fact that they do have a large commuter population. The dorms are all great-new apartment style suites. Only 9000 dorm beds so it feels like a smaller school there and they are not the "ghetto" like highrises that many large universities seem to build. They athletic/recreation complex is amazing. 3/4 mile indoor track, large climbing wall, loads of work out equipment and the 2 outdoor pools one a free form resort like pool and the other a lap pool. The fact that they have a biotech major and work closely with local companies for intership positions sealed the deal for my DS.
