There are many quiet, residential areas and good restaurants nearby. But the regions south and west of the campus leave something to be desired. |

Lots of stores around Hyde Park that you can take the bus or shuttles to, easy access to the city (took me 15 minutes to get downtown during rush hour following a really glitchy GPS device). |

Many artsy things, Navy Pier is fun, the beach is right there (only good if warm). Hang out on the Magnificent Mile. Liberal. |

Chicago is great! I didn't get to visit much of Hyde Park, though. |

Nearly everyone loves Chicago. It's not a city that never sleeps like New York, but there's always something to do. But beware... the South side surrounding Hyde Park is a scary place! |

You can't go wrong with the city of Chicago. It's a great city and it provides a student with many options for entertainment. |

It's Chicago! But then, if you want to know about Hyde Park specifically, I couldn't tell you. Next to the Museum of Science and Industry though. |

Chicago is a great town to live in. The only problems are the winter weather and the difficulty of getting to downtown Chicago from campus. |
