Max Palevsky's kitchens and lounges are very nice. The one I saw had modern cooking appliances and a high definition TV. |

I stayed at the International House. It can't be beat for closeness to campus, but my dad did not appreciate going down the hall for the bathroom. Also, the TV did not have a remote. Minor detail |

Stayed at Best Western River North. About 20 minutes from campus (during morning rush hour), but great discount for UofC visitors and FREE parking. Excellent location, esp. staying more than one day. |

Lake Shore Sheraton was the closest reasonably-priced place I found. |

We stayed at the Ramada Lakeshore. Colloquially, this is known as the "Roach Motel". LOL! It wasn't too bad for a place to sleep though. Also, ask for a UofC discount. W/ the discount |

Wooded Isle Suites--hard to find, but large and inexpensive rooms. Also look into the University Club. |

I live two hours away, so I drove. It'd prolly be cheaper to stay farther out from the city if you are going. Or do an overnight at the school and leave your parents home. |

I stayed on campus, which I recommend for all students. Not sure about a good hotel for parents; just don't feel like you need to stay close to t |
