We rented a car and spent ten minutes parallel parking it (the only spot left near our hotel was a bit small) but that's to be expected in a city. I would recommend just taking a taxi or shuttle |

Parking on campus tough; used hospital parking garage. Validate in Admissions office to pay only 6$ for day. Plan to walk a lot. Don't just visit the campus -- see something of Chicago. |

Early morning parking near Midway Plaisance was no problem. Park in the hospitals garage rather than the visitor garage if street parking is not feasible because the admissions office can validate it? |

Look into the METRA, way quicker than buses, but you have to deal w/ schedules. I wouldn't bring a car unless I was a masochist. |

Visit Seminary Co-Op Bookstore, U Chicago's second bookstore. Tons of character, low ceilings, etc... everything a book lover could ask for. Also, park in the hospital parking structure. |

Impossible to park in a metered spot. Either take the bus or park in the structure on 55th and Ellis--it's closer than it looks to the campus. |

They've got busses and cabs around all the time and the trains and subways aren't too far a walk from campus either, maybe 5-6 blocks. |

They have the Oriental Institute which I didn't have time to visit. Go down to the Seminary Coop , though, it is pretty cool. Walk around a little and just get a feel for the place. |

Take a taxi, don't count on parking. There's not a huge variety of restaurants in the immediate area. If you are out of state, try to see so |
