Campus Visit Notes for University of Florida

Visit Description:

We made arrangements a month in advance for a campus tour and admissions session. Really came away with no further info that would help S make a decision. We went looking for answers and now have more questions than before. Whole information session was very uninteresting. I guess I was looking for someone to say why they chose UF other than it is "the flagship" school of Florida. Campus tour ended at "The Swamp". I guess I expected more but should realize that they get so many applications due to the Florida Bright Futures scholarships that they really do not have to put any foot forward to prospective students. Really got the idea that they do not care. They just do it because they have to.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Did not spend the night

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Charged us $5.00 to park in garage adjacent to visitors center.
Went back next day after 4:30p.m. and it was free.
