Visit Activities:

Admissions Interview: No - There policy is no interviews because of their large applicant pool

Information Session: Yes - A standard information session. It was on a powerpoint,

Campus Tour: Yes - One tour for engineers and the general one as well. The engineering guides were helpful, but the tour was very disorganized. We had to wait around while they tried to find spots to show us. One of the professors had the tour guide in class, but had no

Didn't care for the buildings not my style, but there was nothing wrong with them

Could not find a single piece of dirt or litter on the entire campus (I did visit on a Saturday). Considering the size that's pretty incredible. There dorms which they wouldn't show are very bad though- I have my sources.

Dormitories:
1 - Poor

Wouldn't show the dorms under any circumstances. Very poor according to a bunch of current students I know. Mold, no a/c in Florida!, etc. The honors dorm is supposedly the best.

Security/Safety:

Overall Campus Impression:

I just got the feeling that if I went there I would be just a number and get no personal attention what so ever. Seemed a bit to much of a party school for me too.

seemed safe not much around the campus

City/Town/Community:

Mostly a bunch of chain resturants around the campus. Kind of sprawlish and in the middle of no where. Seemed like a safe town in all though.

Campus Visit Notes for University of Florida

Visit Description:

I visited the campus twice. Once when I was in Orlando in Sophmore year, and then I went up during a high school day off for a long weekend Junior Year.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

I forget where I stayed unfortunately. It was right next to the turnpike though.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

Bunch of chains.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

parking is a problem if you decide to go there, the traffic at dinner time was horrible for such a small town, and there were waits at all the resturants.
