Most people are approachable on campus. They are very friendly to talk to.

Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:

Some are mean, others can be friendly. I guess that depends on who you are talking to. Most of the admissions people are nice.

Appearance of Campus:
4 - Very Good
4 - Very Good
I actually impressed by how the campus appears. No two buildings look the same. Each part of campus has it's own "style."

Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
3 - Good
3 - Good
Poeple clean the buldings everyday. Students are too arrogant to keep things clean though. For example, my bathroom in my dorm is always trashed (piss all over the floor, toliet paper everywhere)

Dormitories:
4 - Very Good
4 - Very Good
This all depends on what dorm you get. If you are on central campus, then you should enjoy any of the dorms. Some dorms on North Campus are very old.

Security/Safety:
5 - Excellent

I never feel theatened by anything. Although I never have seen police roaming the streets (on at the football games).

Overall Campus Impression:

Wonderful campus.

Off-Campus:

Area Immediately Around Campus:
5 - Excellent

It's Ann Arbor, enough said. Ann Arbor is probably the best thing that happened to the state of Michigan.

Mostly upper class white community.

Campus Visit Notes for University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

Visit Description:

I am a current student. I also went to a campus day event. One thing I regret not doing during ampus day was to explore the campus myself. Mostly all the buildings are open during the day so you can just see things for yourself.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Microtel Inn . It is really nice and they have a free breakfast, internet access, free printing, cookies (best value hotel). Trust me, you will enjoy your stay. http://www.microtelannarbor.com/

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

There is so much to choose from. It most of the traditional restaruants are really expensive. I love the Potbelly's!

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Bus system is great to go around campus and around town. I would recommend that you walk around campus instead of using the buses so that you get a better feel for the University.
