Campus Visit Notes for University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
Visit Description:
i think the best thing about UMich was the atmosphere. most people are open-minded and came from various backgrounds, so it was easy to find someone you can relate to even in a huge university. people were very friendly and it was easy to find help if you need some. even though it was kind of studious, you can still find lots of big parties to attend. the football games were definitely mind-blowing. it's hard to experience that kind of passion on other campuses.
i love their undergraduate research opportunities program. it was very easy to find a spot, and you can get paid or receive credits. the faculty were happy to assist you. the advisor was amazing. she was like a college consultant who would help you from adjusting to college life, to get into the business school. the professors in big classes were kind of careless though.
Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:
check out the hotels on the UMich website. they are the best ones around the area
Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:
the dining halls have the best french fries I ever had (even my friends said the same). you have to try them when you are on campus.
Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
it was hard to find a parking space. it costs about $8 for a whole day of parking on my campus visit day
