University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students: 5 - Excellent -
Chapel Hill had some of the friendliest and most enthusiastic students we have seen on our college tours. Everyone seemed very pleased to be there.
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff: 5 - Excellent -
Staff were friendly, helpful, and encouraging to all, despite the fact that they were absolutely flooded with applications this year.
Appearance of Campus: 5 - Excellent -
Beautiful campus! A bit more crowded than many we've seen. We had to weave around pedestrians and bicyclists on almost every sidewalk.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 5 - Excellent Dormitories: 4 - Very Good -
While the tour guide described the dorm rooms in some detail, we only saw the building from the outside. The "display" dorm room was far away, and the lengthy info session did not leave time
Security/Safety: 5 - Excellent -
Plenty of emergency phones, and a visible campus police presence. Also, campus transportation and escorts are available to students around the clock.
Overall Campus Impression: 5 - Excellent
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus: 4 - Very Good City/Town/Community: 4 - Very Good
