I drove through South Bend, and it was good. There was nothing great there. South Bend is a decent town, but not the greatest. There didn't seem to be a lot of fun things happening down there.

Campus Visit Notes for University of Notre Dame

Visit Description:

The campus tour was great. We got to go inside the Basillica, which was amazing. We went into many different academic buildings including the new Jordan Hall of science. We went inside the library. The library seemed pretty nice. We didn't get to see any dorms, which I thought was a tad bit odd. We visited the Grotto at the end which was truly a unique spiritual experience. I also visited the Hammes ND bookstore after the visit. The store was really nice. The main atrium was all marble. I had lunch at the South Dining Hall. Truly some amazing foood. Overall, the visit was fabulous.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

I drove from Chicago where I was staying at my cousins house. It was a one day visit.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

South Dining Hall has very good food for a college. I highly recomend you go there for lunch or dinner.
