Nice area. Lots of old, quaint homes. Further north and west is a not-so-great area.

The campus is between a river and a cemetery (and the Medical Center). I didn't see much student life off campus except a sandwich shop but my son doesn't seem too concerned about that.

We just drove in and out and didn't really explore. A plus is that the airport is close by, about a five dollar taxi fare (according to our tour guide, who is from Miami and flies in and out frequently).
