Amazingly spotless grounds with beautiful gardens and fountains. I can understand why the movie industry likes to film on this campus.

This is a "must see it to believe it" school. You need to visit the campus. Everyone I know wants to be a Trojan after spending time on this campus.

Not bad! There are shopping areas immediately north and west of the campus. The Radisson Hotel and the brand new Galen (basketball) Center are just east of the campus.

The So Cal area has so much to offer! Agree with the previous post -- not Westwood, but definitely not "ghetto" either -- go see for yourself.
Campus Visit Notes for University of Southern California
Visit Description:
Many students fall in love with USC after visiting the campus. I am one of them! USC moved to the top of my list of college choices after my visit, and I visited 20+ top tier colleges.
The campus is gorgeous, the people are very friendly, and the LA sun is amazing. I plan to wear shorts and sandals all year long. The academics are outstanding, and they give out lots of financial aid.
I am not surprised that USC has moved up 3 notches in the US News and World Report rankings this year. This school is amazing.
Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:
The Radisson is right across the street, east of campus, and very convenient for visitors.
Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
The Shrine Auditorium north of campus is hosting the Emmy Awards on Sunday night. South of the campus is Exposition Park, with the very cool LA Natural History Museum, science center, and the Coliseum for Trojan football. Fight On!
