Visit Activities:
Information Session:
Yes - The worst of any we've sat through. Conducted in the campus theater (which is cool) in semi darkness, by an admissions dean with a monotone voice and zero enthusiasm. Campus Tour:
Yes - The UVA campus is big. It was a hot day. The tour guide dragged us across campus to show us the exterior of a freshman dorm but wouldn't take us inside, saying she didn't have access. Ridicu
University of Virginia Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students: 5 - Excellent -
The tour guide was very nice and helpful. There were a lot of students on campus.
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff: 3 - Good -
We got the sense they they have so many interested students they don't need to bother to with niceties.
Appearance of Campus: 5 - Excellent Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 4 - Very Good Dormitories: 2 - Fair -
I find it suspect that we weren't shown a dorm room.
Security/Safety: 3 - Good -
The tour guide explained that not only is there a card swipe to get into the dorm, but another to get on each floor and a code needed to get into the bathroom. Is there a security problem here?
Overall Campus Impression: 3 - Good
Off-Campus:

Visit Description:
