Campus Visit Notes for University of Virginia
Visit Description:
a top choice for my daughter. info session was good and informative. tour guides were great with great personalities. campus tour was magical due to the things going on - dick cheney seen from a distance going to give a lecture, rita dove seen strolling on the lawn to a class, fraternity pledge dressed like the tin man for a fraternity stunt asking our tour to "oil him", evangelical christian speaker on the lawn addressing difficult student questions politely, acapella singing group performing, tikki barber press conference about a donation he was making getting started. my hard to impress 13 year old son stated this was where he was going to attend college! we did see a dorm room. it was fine. food was good. students seemed very happy and energized about being there. we left with a great feeling.
