Campus Visit Notes for University of Virginia
Visit Description:
This was the first school I visited that did not reside in the Northeast US. The campus and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful; the area seemed very tranquil and calm, definitely a positive factor. My experience with the dean of admissions during the information session was probably the best aspect of the visit. UVA relies on the honor system and trusts the students to not lie/cheat which I believe provides more freedom than provided by other schools.
The university has an abundance of resources, easy access to faculty, and friendly students. Overall, I was pleased with my visit.
