It has a vibrant, energetic feel. I would go to UVA just to live near the area. |

Got the impression Charlottesville was a great, cosmopolitan town in the backwoods wasteland. Clean, plenty of restaurants and shopping. Get outside town and your securely in the Bible Belt. |

Although Charlottesville is not what one would say a major city, it has a very nice little bubble with plenty to do |

The area around the University is fun and has a college-town feel. However, Charlottesville is considered a small city, and has the sometimes bad aspects farther from UVA. |

Charlottesville is a beautiful town surrounded by mountains. Very close to Monticello and rated by USA Today as the best city to live in. |

The downtown area is beautiful and I didn't see many sad-looking people. It's nice to know that people are mostly happy here. |
