Parking can be hard to find though, so parking in the Emmet St garage is the easiest. DC is 2 hours away, Richmond 2hrs, VA beach 3hr, Skyline Dr 20min

Monticello. If you're visiting Mr. Jefferson's university, you might as well visit his hime too! There's also the Fashion Place mall, so if you have an urge to shop, there's a mall.

They stamped our parking passes (Emmet parking, covered garage) and they were free for the whole day. We didn't stay very long but they're good for the day so....
