I went to the info session during my junior year; it was very informative. Included all the normal things @ info sessions.

I went for DOTL, so it wasn't an "information session" per se, but a panel of profs speaking. It was very good.

Student-led session was one of the most informative. Students were more knowledgable about the nuts and bolts of a UVa education than most admissions officers would be.

Very busy day, but the staff were extremely helpful to accommodate everyone in an informative session. Any questions on the admission process were covered thoroughly.

The information session told us a lot of things not seen in brochures as well as the admissions process.

The worst of any we've sat through. Conducted in the campus theater (which is cool) in semi darkness, by an admissions dean with a monotone voice and zero enthusiasm.

I was there for transfer orientation, which was done very well

I went to two information sessions, one with students and another of professors and both really helped gain insight on life at the university, since they wer based around questions from the audience.

The dean was very informative, went beyond the normal admissions talk with some really helpful information, also very funny. Talked to him after the tour, very nice and helpful.

I suppose for people who didn't do a lot of research on the U before coming, this session would be helpful. But all of the info can be found online, unless you have specific questions, of course.
